Blooming Tasmania is a collection of floral shows, festivals and garden open days held throughout Tasmania between September and May.

Blooming Tasmania is a celebration of the State's Tasmanian gardens and diverse horticultural and botanical delights in one of the world's most growable climates.

It is an invitation to you to share in these simple pleasures. It is a joy to watch not only the gardens distinct seasonal characteristics as they move through their annual cycle, but also the effects of this phenomenon on the broader landscape and the Tasmanian lifestyle.

Since the arrival of the first European settlers early in the nineteenth century some incredible gardens have been developed in this unique southern paradise.

Most plants can be grown here with relative ease, especially those of cool temperate origin.

Blooming Tasmania guides you on a journey of garden experiences.

Tasmania has a large number of open gardens spread throughout the State. Many of these gardens are of major historical significance and they highlight what an ideal gardening climate Tasmania is.
